The focus of this family tree is on the Canadian Pattee Family, although all Pattees in both Canada and the US have the same origin, namely Peter Pattee, who migrated from England to Virginia in 1669, and then Canada in 1676.
This very large Pattee family tree has been broken into eight family branches, as you can see at the top of this page, and you can view each branch separately.
Research on this genealogy was begun back in the 1930s by my grandfather, Clarence Dexter Schnebly. I inherited it when he died in 1953.
What I inherited was a large 6 ft square hand drawn circular family tree containing about 600 names and dates. A large file cabinet containing all of his carefully prepared supporting documentation unfortunately disappeared at that time . (It is this tragedy which has spurred me toward gathering all of the information and documentation that I have collected in the past 70 years and uploading it into the ancestry.com database.)
This Pattee Canadian Family page on Ancestry.com provides access to all of this data. There are currently over 7,500 of my ancestors and cousins, etc. included on this Pattee Family Tree, as well as over 2,000 photos and documents.
